What a love little Oliver is! With quite a history to boot – he was found on a freeway – an under 10lb little white terrier roaming a FREEWAY!! Such a miracle that he even managed to survive that trauma. The great news is that he is now treated like the King he was always meant to be by his adopted Mom who is so loving and patient with him. In our first introduction, Oliver wanted nothing to do with it – no interest in being social or meeting new people. Very understandably hesitant. We got all our information at the Meet & Greet from the owner and we were ready to start the job. But in all honesty, I had my concerns about how this could go knowing that he wasn’t open to even letting us pet him on the first introduction. Oliver wasn’t thrilled to see us as we showed up for that first visit, surely scared to death, but with some time & patience, we were able to get his leash on & outside we went for our first walk. Taking a familiar route made him feel slightly more comfortable with the situation. Most impressive, having come from the negative past that he did, he never once even growled at us. He is just a sweet, sweet dog with a tough past. These days, Oliver gets excited enough to go on his walks that he pees upon entry. We are so grateful for these amazing & hopeful stories (and walks) that we at Paws & Whiskers get to be a part of. Three cheers for happy endings!
